Type of high pressure seal

According to its working principle, it is divided into two categories: forced sealing and self-sealing. The forced seal relies on the pre-tightening force of the coupling (bolt) to ensure that there is a certain contact pressure between the top cover of the pressure vessel, the sealing element and the end of the cylinder to achieve the purpose of sealing. Self-sealing is that with the increase of the operating pressure in the pressure vessel, the contact pressure between the sealing element and the top cover and the end of the cylinder also increases, thus achieving the sealing effect. The self-sealing is characterized by the higher the pressure, the greater the compression force between the sealing elements in the contact surface, the better the sealing performance, and the sealing is still reliable when the operating conditions fluctuate. But the structure is more complex, more difficult to manufacture.
