YX seal ring and O-ring difference

YX seals and O-rings have some differences in structure and use.

First of all, from the structural point of view, YX-type sealing ring is the ratio of section height to width greater than 2 and the working lip and non-working lip unequal height Y-shaped sealing ring, it is divided into holes with YX-shaped sealing ring and shaft with YX-shaped sealing ring. The O-ring is an elastomer seal with a circular cross section in the free state, which is generally installed in a groove with a rectangular cross section on the outer circle or the inner circle.

Secondly, from the use point of view, YX sealing ring is especially suitable for high pressure, high speed variable pressure and rapid movement of hydraulic cylinders. It is mainly used to seal the piston rod, with TPU and CPU materials, respectively, for general hydraulic cylinder and high pressure oil cylinder. The O-ring is widely used in a variety of mechanical equipment, in the specified temperature, pressure and different liquid and gas media, at rest or in motion to play a sealing role. It is mainly used for static sealing and reciprocating motion sealing, but in rotary motion sealing, it is limited to low-speed rotary sealing devices.
