The O-ring and the C-ring are significantly different in several ways.

However, the O-ring requires high installation accuracy, and improper installation may lead to seal failure or even major failure. Therefore, during installation, it is necessary to pay attention to clean the installation location, remove burrs, apply lubricants, protect the sealing surface layer from damage, and confirm that the sealing ring size is correct.
On the other hand, the C-type sealing ring is not only suitable for static sealing, but also for dynamic sealing, and its sealing performance is excellent, and it is often used in valves, pumps and automotive engines. However, the installation requirements of the C-ring are also relatively high, and it is necessary to ensure that the seal is free from damage and deformation.
