U-shaped sealing ring is a type of reciprocating sealing, the section is U-shaped, referred to as U-shaped sealing ring. There are two types of U-shaped seals, rubber type and cloth type. The U-shaped seal is a balanced seal, that is, it is sealed on both the inside and outside diameter, and is equipped with a support ring to protect the seal to prevent it from being flattened or twisted under pressure. The U-shaped ring is installed in the sealing groove, and the gap between the pressure ring and the lip is 1.6 ~ 3mm, that is, at least 25% of the thickness of the lip edge, so that the lip can not contact the pressure ring, so that the system fluid can enter freely, so that the self-tightening principle can be used to seal. Horizontal holes in the vertical web of the ring ensure pressure balance in the U-shaped opening. A rubber o-ring is used to increase static and dynamic contact forces to improve the initial sealing effect.
